"To Serve Man: The Immaculate Deception" Oil Painting Art
Description
I love transforming unconventional materials into works of art. Instead of discarding objects, I often ask myself: “Can this be reimagined into a future painting?”
That’s exactly how this piece began. What started as a damaged mini ironing board became the canvas for my painting "To Serve Man: The Immaculate Deception." Once I stripped away the fabric cover, the raw particle board revealed a shape reminiscent of medieval paintings I’ve admired in museums around the world.
From that spark, this self-portrait emerged—layered with social commentary, pop culture nods (Twilight Zone fans will recognize the reference), and symbolism rooted in religion and art history. The result is a thought-provoking piece that blends storytelling and tradition through a modern and surreal artistic lens.
