"Traveler" Couture Vintage Uniform Jacket

One approach to upcycling vintage pieces is to manipulate the garment in ways that aren't permanent. In the case of The "Traveler," the alterations were done in such a way so as to keep the integrity of the already beautiful silhouette. The buttons were changed, and a pleat was added to the inner sleeve opening. Abstract line art was hand-embroidered on the back to give it a totally different persona--all without cutting any of the original fabric.
